Reinee Pasarow

Reinee E. Pasarow was born in 1950 in Glendale, California, raised in La Crescenta on the outskirts of Los Angeles, and attended UCLA, where she studied economics. With husband Michael, she managed a successful food brokerage business. Her childhood was defined by many serious illnesses, including rheumatic fever. At a young age she developed the first signs of debilitating multiple sclerosis, which gradually progressed throughout her life. Although an active sixteen-year-old, Reinee went into anaphylactic shock as a result of pollen and lime allergies in 1967 and was pronounced clinically dead. Her spiritual awakening was a direct result of her near-death experience. Reinee shared her experience with live audiences and on major television shows in the 1980s and 1990s, including ABC’s 20/20 and other programs on CBS and CNN, before these experiences were widely known. She was also featured in many magazine articles and books, including Kenneth Ring’s Heading Toward Omega and Raymond Moody’s tape version of Life After Life. Despite frail health, Reinee felt compelled to share her story to awaken others to what she had learned. She passed away peacefully in her home in Northern California at the age of sixty-nine, on January 17, 2020, with her husband by her side.
