Submission Guidelines

Monkfish publishes fiction and nonfiction books related to the subjects of spirituality and religion. If you would like your manuscript to be considered for publication, please send a completed book proposal (MS Word only; no PDFs) that includes a brief synopsis of the work, followed by a longer summary of the work, as well as a complete annotated table of contents, author bio including previously published works, author promotional plans, total projected word count, manuscript completion date, blurbs, comp titles published within the last five years, and sample chapters equaling no more than 25% of the whole (ideally including the Introduction, if your book is to have an Introduction) to submissions@monkfishpublishing.com. Send all of this in a single, MS Word document attachment.

We usually respond within two weeks. We do not accept phone calls regarding book ideas or submissions. Mailed submissions will not be accepted or returned. All correspondence is handled via email.

FRAUD ALERT:

Monkfish Book Publishing has become aware of fraudulent emails being sent to authors by individuals impersonating current or former members of our staff.

Please be advised that legitimate Monkfish email addresses end only in @monkfishpublishing.com. Emails from similar-looking or misspelled domains, including “@monkfishpublshing.com,” are fraudulent and are not associated with Monkfish Book Publishing.

If you receive a suspicious communication claiming to be from Monkfish, please do not respond, click on links, provide personal information, or send payment. You may verify any communication by contacting us directly through the contact information on this website.
